Common of any Confessor
Office.
The mouth of the just is exercised in wisdom: and his tongue will be talking of judgment. The law of his God is in his heart.1
Ps. Fret not thyself because of the ungodly: neither be thou envious against the evil doers.2
Collect.
Give ear, Lord, to our prayers which we present unto thee on the feast of thy holy confessor N., that we who put not our trust in our own righteousness may be assisted by the merits and prayers of him who was well-pleasing unto thee. Through etc.

The Lord guided him . . . perpetual glory.
Gradual.

Thou hast given him his heart's desire, O Lord: and hast not denied him the request of his lips: thou shalt set a crown of pure gold upon his head.1

Secret.
Receive, O Lord, this sacrifice of propitiation and praise; and grant that through the intervention of thy blessed confessor N. it may lead us to pardon, and establish us in acts of perpetual thanksgiving. Through etc.
Communion.
Faithful and wise is that servant whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season.2

Grant, we beseech thee, almighty God, that by his intercession on whose festival this sacrament is celebrated, the same may be made profitable to our salvation. Through etc.
