If you have found your way to this site and are not sure what you are looking at, you are in the right place. This page is a short, plain answer to a simple question: what is this, and is it for me?
In Short
We are a small Anglican fellowship — New Every Morning — that worships using the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, a prayer book nearly a century old. We did not choose it out of nostalgia. We use it because it says, in careful and beautiful language, exactly what the Church has always believed: that we are sinners in need of grace, that Christ has provided it, and that worship is the fitting response.
You do not need to know any of the history to belong here. You do not need special training to follow along. The services are structured, unhurried, and the same from week to week, which most newcomers find easier to settle into, not harder.
What to Expect
Why It Matters to Us
The 1928 Prayer Book stands in a direct line from the Reformation and the ancient Church, carried forward largely unchanged by congregations who did not follow when it was set aside elsewhere in the mid-twentieth century. For us, it is not an antique curiosity. It is simply how we pray, and we think it is worth sharing with anyone curious enough to ask.
